For many reasons Americans have found immigrating to Canada to be desirable. And in recent years, with rising crime rates and increasingly divisive politics Canada’s attractiveness has only increased.

And if you are thinking of moving to Canada as a US citizen, you’ll definitely be considering Vancouver. It’s one of Canada’s most desirable destinations after all.

But what can you expect as an American moving to Vancouver? What’s it actually like to live in Vancouver? How is Vancouver different from the US? And more specifically, what’s buying a home in Vancouver like?
