A day after one of Russia's largest aerial attacks on Ukraine, at least eight more Ukrainians have been killed in new strikes on Tuesday. As Kyiv claims its troops are still advancing in Kursk, the world's atomic watchdog is giving a dire warning about the vulnerability of a Russian nuclear power plant.

“The core of the reactor containing nuclear material is protected just by a normal roof. This makes it extremely exposed,” said Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Moscow says Kyiv launched a drone at the site, while Kyiv hasn't commented and an analyst says Russia may have been the one to target the site. Meanwhile, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that Russia is adjusting its nuclear weapons doctrine and warned that the West is “playing with fire.”
