He fell from grace after the Battle of Gettysburg, but his flamboyant manner has carried him into and placed him squarely in the annals of history. With a plume in his hat and his magnificent red beard, Union soldiers feared the cavalrymen because it seemed JEB was everywhere all at once. In this biography, I will explore the life of the man simply known as JEB. In this episode, I cover JEB's time in Kansas and his choice to join the Confederacy.
