One Night At Pinewoods - Our Motorhome Travels

On our way to stop at Pinewoods Holiday Park, Wells-next-the-sea, she took a detour to Little Walsingham and the Holy Shrine.

Unlike any other little village in the UK, Christian Pilgrims come from all over the world to pray or walk the last mile of the pilgrim route from the slipper chapel to the shrine.

The village itself is worthy of a visit to see the Abbey Ruins, little independent shops and historic architecture, there is also a well stocked farm shop and a small gauge railway line from Walsingham to Wells (or vice Versa).

Motorhome parking is available in the coach park but this is not always open.

At Pinewoods Holiday Park we had a short stay and were happy to see such lovely modern facilities, the pitches are spacious if a little barren but can imagine they may look better in the spring with the wilding areas. There is a shop at reception which is quite a walk from the pitches, the park itself is near the beach which, along with nearby Holkham, is often voted as one of the best in the UK.

The site sits on the North Norfolk Coast Path, which is fantastic to walk in sections, catching the coast hopper back, when tired legs can’t face the long beach road from Wells town to the beach(or back) there is a little beach bus £2.

Wells is great for crabbing from the quayside and is also full of independent shops, pubs and fish and chips - all along this coast is a wonderful area to visit.
