UGC Bill :देश की उच्च शिक्षा व्यवस्था से जुड़ा एक नया नियम लागू होने से सियासत गरमा गई है. शिक्षण संस्थानों में जातिगत भेदभाव को रोकने और समानता को बढ़ावा देने के मकसद से विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) ने 'प्रमोशन ऑफ इक्विटी इन हायर एजुकेशन इंस्टीट्यूशन रेगुलेशन 2026' के रूप में नये नियम लागू किए हैं.यूजीसी के नए नियम को लेकर एक तरफ जहां सामाजिक न्याय की दिशा में ऐतिहासिक कदम बताया जा रहा है तो वहीं दूसरी तरफ विरोध के सुर उठने लगे हैं. खासकर अगड़ी जातियों से जुड़े संगठनों और प्रभावशाली नेताओं ने इस लेकर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं.यूजीसी के नए नियमों को लेकर बवाल इतना बढ़ गया है कि बरेली के सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट अलंकार अग्निहोत्री ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है. सवर्ण जाति संगठनों ने आंदोलन तेज करने की धमकी दे डाली है.
