Massive tech outage grounds flights, knocks banks offline, and more

A faulty update to cybersecurity software knocked computers offline across industries and across the globe Friday.

The company responsible, CrowdStrike, announced the issue with its Falcon tool had been identified and a fix had been deployed.

Only computers running Microsoft Windows were affected, not those running Mac or Linux.
