윤, 체코 방문 둘째 날 피알라 총리 회담 원전 등 협력 강화

On Day Two of President Yoon Suk Yeol's official visit to the Czech Republic, the South Korean leader is holding a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Petr Fiala to discuss ways to strengthen the Korea-Czech relationship.
Our Presidential Correspondent Oh Soo-young is in Prague to fill us in on the details.
1. Soo-young, President Yoon is believed to be meeting with the Prime Minister now before their joint press conference.
What outcomes do we expect from their summit?

Hi Bo-kyoung. Yes, President Yoon is set to hold a press conference with Prime Minister Petr Fiala, following their summit with a focus on business and economic relations.
Their talks will likely be followed by a signing ceremony of various Memorandums of Understanding to promote more economic exchanges between the two countries, along with a bilateral Trade and Investment Promotion Framework.
This would establish an institutional foundation to strengthen the partnership between the two countries across various industries, most notably in the nuclear energy sector, after the Czech government selected a South Korean consortium as the preferred partner to build nuclear reactors.
The Czech Republic is keen on having local businesses involved, so Yoon is likely to set out ways to collaborate across all sectors of the nuclear power ecosystem.
In fact, Yoon and Fiala paid a visit to Doosan Skoda Power, a turbine tech company, and Skoda JS, a nuclear power equipment manufacturer, located in a city about an hour away from Prague.
Joined by business executives, 13 MOUs were signed to bolster collaborations across the entire nuclear power industry ecosystem, including design, operation, nuclear fuel, and waste management.
The two governments formalized this nuclear cooperation with three key agreements on localizing the projects, joint research and workforce training, and providing turbines for the Dukovany nuclear power plant project if South Korea procures the final contract.

2. So this all shows how the two countries are broadening and deepening their relations in strategic sectors. The President earlier today attended a business summit.

That's right. Speaking at a business forum on Friday morning, President Yoon identified five key areas— aerospace, energy, advanced chemicals and materials, bio and digital industries as key sectors for cooperation between both countries.
During the forum attended by over 470 leaders business and government officials, a total of 14 MOUs were signed between businesses and institutions from both countries.
Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun, and Zdeněk Zajíček, Chairman of the Czech Chamber of Commerce attended.
The president also highlighted the importance of infrastructure cooperation, as the Czech Republic looks to build a high-speed railway system.
As the two countries agreed to ramp up their Strategic Partnership, they're increasing political exchanges too.
Later, President Yoon will hold separate meetings with key members of the lower and upper house of the Czech Parliament to request their interest and cooperation in deepening bilateral relations.
President Yoon and First Lady Kim Keon Hee will then wrap up the second day of their official visit by attending a dinner and meeting with Korean nationals living in the Czech Republic, before returning to Seoul on Saturday.

We will, of course, bring our viewers live coverage of the joint press conference between President Yoon and Prime Minister Fiala later tonight.
Thanks, Soo-young for keeping us updated.
