But when Lord Ram and Nishad Raj met for the first time, Nishad Raj first washed the feet of Lord Shri Ram with his own hands and only then made him sit in his boat. Lord Ram himself was very pleased to see the devotion of Nishad Raj and he spent his first night of exile at Nishad Raj's house. The Prime Minister had gone to Ayodhya only to meet the descendants of Nishadraj, who had helped Lord Shri Ram cross the Saryu in his boat.
