What is ailing Laikipia: Death and destruction visits ranches in Laikipia

An air of uncertainty hangs over the vast ranches and farms of Laikipia, where heavily armed pastoralists, have forcefully driven their livestock, in their thousands into these farms, and conservancies in search of pasture.

What began as a movement occasioned by drought has taken the shape of a bloody contest between the herdsmen and ranchers resulting in the death of several people, an unknown number of wildlife and rampant destruction of property.

The government says its just a small problem, in some pockets of Laikipia and has it under control

NTV's Sheila Sendeiyo witnessed some of the activities first hand and now reports on what ills Laikipia.
