Fibrelite Composite Cover Shows No Deflection Under 35,000 lb Recreational Vehicle

Описание к видео Fibrelite Composite Cover Shows No Deflection Under 35,000 lb Recreational Vehicle

Fibrelite’s “Standard Duty” composite covers are designed to handle heavy vehicle loads (up to 56,000 lbs.) while also minimizing deflection. Deflection is the degree to which a structural element bows downward when subjected to a heavy load and excessive deflection can cause composite covers to break down and eventually fail. In this field test, a Fibrelite FL90 composite cover and a similarly sized competitor’s cover are both subjected to the weight of a 35,000 lb. recreational vehicle’s rear tires. The Fibrelite cover shows little to no deflection under this load while the center of the competitor’s cover deflects nearly ½” under the same load.

Fibrelite is recognized internationally as the industry standard in highly engineered Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) lightweight composite manhole covers, trench covers and underground enclosures which offer the very best strength to weight ratio in the industry.
