Del Shannon is a legend. Every record he made was great. Some are not as good as others but i have not heard a bad Del Shannon record. This one comes from early 1964, after he had been dropped from his label over a fight with his managers regarding royalties, blacklisting him from the record buying public. His next move was to start his own record label, named after his parents, Bert and Leone. He for whatever reason decided to let it be distributed through a record label that had only one major constant hitmaker, so it was no surprise when his first record for the label did not do very well on the charts, though the fact that it was also in the middle of the british invasion didn't help things at all. This was his second release for his own label (which had only the two releases) and did not even make a blip on any charts. It is also his hardest 45 to find, yet contains two of his best songs.
