Rishi Sunak has pledged to cut a further 2p from National Insurance if re-elected. He’s also announced a number of housing policies including a stamp duty cut for properties under £425,000, a new Help to Buy scheme and tax cuts for landlords who sell to tenants.

However, Wes Streeting has said that Labour will not match the National Insurance pledge as “the money simply isn’t there”. Can the Conservatives deliver on their promises?

Hannah Barnes, associate editor, is joined by Andrew Marr, the New Statesman’s political editor, to discuss today’s manifesto launch.
