The FlyLady system is a well-loved method for keeping your home clean and organised without the stress. Created by Marla Cilley, affectionately known as the FlyLady, it focuses on building simple daily routines and breaking household tasks into manageable chunks. The system divides the home into zones, with one zone tackled each week, helping you stay on top of deep cleaning and decluttering without feeling overwhelmed.

Zone 2: The Kitchen
Zone 2 is all about the kitchen, often seen as the heart of the home. This week is the perfect time to go beyond the everyday tidying and give your kitchen a proper sort-out. Tasks might include:

Clearing out and cleaning the fridge and freezer.
Wiping down cupboards and appliances.
Giving the sink, hob, and splashback a thorough scrub.
Decluttering worktops and organising the pantry or larder.
The FlyLady encourages setting a timer for just 15 minutes at a time, making it easier to tackle even the trickiest of tasks. By the end of the week, your kitchen will be sparkling clean, wonderfully organised, and ready to welcome family and friends!
