They say it appears only to those burdened by grief, a haven for the desperate who seek the impossible—the return of their lost loved ones. The church’s black spire pierces the sky, and its doors, carved with unearthly symbols, creak open without a sound, as if inviting the mourner inside.

Within, the air is thick with incense, and a pale, cold light seeps through stained glass windows depicting scenes of resurrection and despair. A solitary figure, cloaked and faceless, presides over the altar. It offers no words, only gestures to kneel and pray.

But those who enter are never seen again. Some say their prayers are answered, and they join their loved ones in another realm. Others believe the church demands a terrible price, trapping their souls forever within its shadowed halls.
