Arunachal’s monsoon madness begins! In this episode, I ride from Shergaon to Morshing right after heavy rains, navigating minor landslides and one of the worst 7km stretches I’ve ever faced — just to reach the ancient Lhagyala Gonpa, a 1000+ year-old monastery hidden deep in the hills.

There, I met an old female lama and a young monk who shared beautiful stories of faith and time. But the journey didn’t end there. I visited the Lama Tenpai Dronmey Museum, founded by Sir Rinchin Norbu, a national award-winning teacher who has preserved the soul of the Monpa tribe. His hospitality and passion left me speechless.

As I headed towards Sangti Valley, clouds gathered again… and I wasn’t sure if I’d make it.
