Sam Heughan & Caitríona Balfe: Outlander Premiere London | Friendship & Filming Love Scenes Pregnant

"Outlander" co-stars Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe spoke exclusively to SheKnows' Reshma Gopaldas on the red carpet at the Outlander Premiere event for season 6 in London. Balfe streamed in virtually from Los Angeles and Heughan and the rest of the cast attended the UK event. Heughan revealed why he is so in awe of Balfe, his co-star for almost 8 years running. He revealed that she filmed season 6, pregnant, in a pandemic, wearing a corset! Balfe also confessed they had some challenges to work around since she was 7 months pregnant by the time filming ended. Heughan jokes they worked with a fake pregnant belly in season 2 and now a real one is quite different! He describes Balfe as the MVP of "Outlander."

Balfe revealed they had to film love scenes when she was really pregnant, and they might have needed to make some adjustments in post-production to hide that! When asked what he appreciates most about working with Balfe, that she may not know, he lists everything from being a great set partner to one of his best friends to having a great sense of humor - she breaks the most in scenes - to potentially being a great football player!
