LYRICS:

He rode in at sundown, boots full of flame,
Smoke in his shadow, ash in his name,
Coins in his pocket, smiles sharp as sin,
Every door cracked open, every soul let him in.

The wind held its breath when he tipped his hat,
Eyes like a wager you were bound to lose at,
Promises whispered, sweet as wine,
He said, “Just one step, and the world is mine.”

He came to the town with a hand full of lies,
Steel at his side and hell in his eyes,
Men talked brave, but the bravest still fell,
‘Cause temptation talks louder than a warning bell.

The preacher shook steady till his voice went dry,
The sheriff stood tall, said he’d never comply,
But courage is brittle when fear’s paid in gold,
And the devil’s real patient—he waits till you fold.

Fathers, brothers, all bartered their names,
Trading tomorrow for fleeting gains,
One by one, they crossed that line,
Left their better angels behind.

He came to the town with a hand full of lies,
Fire in his breath and smoke in his sighs,
They swore they’d stand, but the night rang hollow,
Every promise broke by the next day’s tomorrow.

Then the sky went quiet, the bells wouldn’t ring,
One man didn’t come home—didn’t come back from the brink,
A little girl waited by a lantern’s glow,
Counting footsteps that never showed.

Grace Walker, eight years old,
Hands in fists, heart burning bold,
Tears on her cheeks, dirt on her knees,
But fear never taught her how to plead.

She walked to the street where the fire still danced,
Looked straight at the devil and never glanced,
Said, “You took enough, you took my dad,
You don’t get the rest—you don’t get that.”

Her voice cut clean through the sulfur air,
No deal to bargain, no soul to spare,
No trembling hands, no borrowed might,
Just truth standing firm in the dead of night.

The devil laughed once, then he stepped back slow,
Some flames burn bright where they’re not supposed to go,
He turned away, boots cold, eyes dim,
‘Cause there’s no temptation left to win.

He came to the town with a hand full of lies,
Left with the dawn and nowhere to hide,
Men learned late what courage can be,
But a child stood tall for what ought to be.

Now the town still speaks of that dusty day,
Of how evil rides in, but can’t always stay,
And if you ask who saved them all,
They’ll say Grace Walker—the unbreakable.
