Trying hard to keep up with my Spotify schedule of one new song per week. Finding time to make these videos are pretty killer.

Some of this "older" music is stuff I have not played in months or even years. To make these videos, I actually had to re-learn them. Matching the recorded music note for note was no joke. Some of these songs had parts that were improvised during recording and I didn't commit them to memory. It's truly funny that I had to slow the song down at times to get the notes and even observe some older videos to get clues of what my fingers were doing then. But it's all good again. It's like I am saying hello to my older self. I would've done many things differently today, from my note choices to tone and phrasing. But I had to remain faithful to the song.

Music is like a picture. It frames a moment in time through sound. And with every note you hear, it brings you back to a time when all those notes carried a certain meaning for you.
