Honshu’s Boshin Double Edge Sword melds the iconic blade styles of the Ninjato and the Kogarasu Maru Tachi into a single sword with practical and modern tactical materials. The blade is tempered 1060 high carbon steel and its unique form combines a thick blade spine for durability which rapidly tapers into a thin, dual edge at the midpoint of the blade; a fine compromise for resilience and the advantages of a second edge.

The guard and pommel are stainless steel and the grip is formed from tough and ergonomically formed thermoplastic rubber for a sure and no-slip grip. The scabbard is crafted from wood with detailing in synthetic leather and a black cord sageo to complete it.
