Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - No Guts, No Butts, No Coconuts - Jun 1 24 D

It seems they want to pick up the pace with the 7-star Tera Raid Battles, with the one for Emboar coming right after the one for Swampert. I wonder if they have something planned for later this year that they need to hurry things up and wrap up the “Unrivaled” series. For the record, there are currently 6 fully evolved first-partner Pokémon, as of the time of this video, without the “Unrivaled” series 7-star Tera Raid Battles yet, not including the Paldea set. They are as follows:

Feraligatr
Sceptile
Torterra
Infernape
Serperior
Incineroar

After Emboar, I’m predicting one that’s natively Grass-type, as half of the ones above are. Feraligatr is the last Water-type Pokémon to get one.

If they do each one on consecutive weekends, like they’ve done with Swampert to Emboar (even letting the Mass Outbreak events overlap with them, whereas they were normally done between the Unrivaled raids), and there are two weekends per Pokémon, then the last one will be on the weekend of September 13th to September 15th, 2024. Most likely, there will be a couple of weekends dedicated to the Paradox Pokémon Tera Raid Battle events, likely one for Scream Tail and Iron Bundle sometime in July, with the seventh Paradox Pokémon Tera Raid Battle event, for Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, in September, around the same time as the first partner Pokémon themed ones come to an end, leaving something major for late September to early October. Either that, or the staff handling these events need to be pulled in to work on Pokémon Legends: Z-A or something.

Type: Double Battle
Opponent: Will
Battle Court: Cabo Poco
Music: Eastern Pokémon
My Pokémon: Tad (Poliwrath), Webber (Spidops), Wendy (Toxtricity) (Amped), Kelvin (Flareon)
Opponent’s Pokémon: Hariyama, Amoonguss, Sylveon, Kingambit

There are a few Pokémon I expect to come out first. They include Incineroar, Kyogre, Koraidon, Miraidon, Tornadus, and, in regards to this team, Farigiraf, currently the premier Trick Room user in Ranked. I thought this was partially a Trick Room team, as it’s got some slow Pokémon like Hariyama and Amoonguss, but I guess they noticed my team isn’t exactly full of speedsters either, so they chose against Farigiraf. Accurately predicting who will be out first is important to teams I make, because they rely on getting an early lead. Putting myself on the back foot at the beginning is very likely to create an insurmountably wide hole for me to climb out of.

I do like the fact that they’ve chosen Hariyama over the far more popular Iron Hands though…which, as I figured, is because they wanted a Pokémon with Guts. Well, I got one too. A Pokémon that I probably shouldn’t have hesitated when Hariyama was on the ropes, as it gave my opponent the turn they needed to rethink and regroup. Especially since they brought out Amoonguss when Kelvin (Flareon) was out, which feels a bit TOO obvious. I had a hunch there was going to be a Terastallization of Amoonguss to something that resists Fire while Sylveon retreats, and that hunch told me I should’ve used Flare Blitz on Sylveon—but I didn’t listen to that hunch, as it would’ve resulted in their Kingambit getting roasted the moment he showed his face.

Though the fact that it happened on the SECOND turn would’ve been much harder to predict.
