This dialogue examines how environmental change has become an economic and social crisis for vulnerable workers, where rising seas, extreme heat, and shrinking opportunities collide with the absence of effective adaptation policies. It explores how journalists, scientists, and communities can work together to document, explain, and respond to the labor impacts of climate change, connecting human stories, data, and policy insights to reveal the true cost of inaction.

The session will feature two Pulitzer Grantees who will share their field reporting where climate change endangers workers’ productivity and job security while protection for them remains absent.
