K9 officer honored in processional before being put to sleep | FOX23 News Tulsa

A retired Muskogee K9 officer received a hero's treatment on his final journey. Bosco joined the Muskogee Police Department in 2009 as a dual-purpose patrol dog. Bosco helped track down hundreds of suspects and assisted in thousands of drug arrests. Bosco retired in 2014. The dog's hips had gone out, and he struggled to walk because of his age. The decision was made to put Bosco down. The department, special vehicles, police officers and citizens joined in a processional escorting Bosco to the veterinarian's office.
