Rajendra Pal Gautam of the Aam Aadmi Party (MLA) has stirred up controversy once more by asserting that "the only way to stop Hindus from terrorizing is to make them a minority." According to the AAP politician, members of the Hindu community, who saw themselves as the majority, abuse those of lesser castes. Rajendra Pal Gautam claimed in an interview with The Wire that members of the Hindu community rape and kill females and beat lower caste individuals who attend temples while flaunting mustaches. Rashid Alvi, the leader of the Congress, criticized the AAP leader and said that such words should not be made. Alvi claimed that the AAP's goal is to divide the electorate as the Delhi MCD elections get near.
