SEBI has issued show-cause notices to Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Power, both linked to Anil Ambani, for alleged violations under the SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices) Regulations, 2003 and the SEBI Act, 1992.

The case involves a massive ₹6,503 crore exposure to CLE Private Limited, which was already settled through mediation under the Mediation Act, 2023, before a retired Supreme Court judge.

Despite the legal settlement, SEBI has reopened the matter — raising fresh concerns over corporate governance, disclosure norms, and transparency in financial dealings.

Reliance Infrastructure maintains it has fully complied and disclosed all details, while Reliance Power claims zero exposure to CLE Pvt. Ltd. The Enforcement Directorate’s July 2025 raids further intensified the spotlight on the Anil Ambani Group.
