Prior to introducing AI into its healthcare system , Saint James Hospital’s appointment booking management was entirely manually driven. With 300,000 calls a year, a million yearly encounters and a growing patient-base, the volume of bookings was becoming overwhelming and demanding on patient service agents, especially during peak hours.


In order to increase efficiency and enhance its communication processes, Saint James Hospital approached EBO to help it take advantage of and introduce AI automation into its patient care process. As a result, EBO developed a custom-built Virtual Care Agent, named Jamie.


Today, Jamie, automates and offers immediate answers to patients enquiries on a 24/7 basis as well as manages patient’s appointment bookings from start to finish.
