Discovery of Infrared Rays

Описание к видео Discovery of Infrared Rays

Infrared Rays was discovered by a Sir Frederick William Herschel in April 1800. He passed the light through a prism to measure the temperature of different colors of light using a thermometer, and in the process, took a measurement just beyond the red end of the visible spectrum. He saw the temperature in the thermometer beyond red light to be higher than the other colours. He concluded that there must be an invisible form of light beyond the visible spectrum and named this light as infrared rays.
