Oswald Mosley Explained in 7 Minutes

Oswald Mosley was born into an aristocratic family, became a champion fencer in his youth and proved himself in World War I. He became involved in politics following the great war and was a member of Parliament for both the Conservative Party and the Labour Party. A man of great ambition began rubbing shoulders with the rising fascists in Europe like Mussolini, going on to create his own party - the British Union of Fascists with a captivating audience consisting of blackshirts and thugs.
Mosley was considered a great orator who could whip up the masses in support of his ideals - but it never translated to elections as his anti-communist and authoritarian views proved unpopular with the British public, especially in the run up to World War II. Oswald Mosley serves us a a stark reminder of what Britain could have been, and what it still could turn in to.
