In this video I will give my full review of the BYD App, the mobile app for BYD Seal (and, of course, Atto 3, Dolphin, Sealion, Han and other BYD electric cars). I will go through all sections and features of the app, which include remote air conditioning, seat heating/ventilation, schedule charging, vehicle position, and more. App version reviewed here is v2.6.2 on iOS (iPhone 6 Plus). The car software is 1.4.0 (2412).

I’ll also demonstrate how different functions like A/C and turning on seat heating have slightly different logic in terms of how they wake up the car or in which mode the car is after you have set the remote function.

Finally, I’ll show how to take the Digital Key into use by adding the BYD SEAL card onto Apple Wallet (similar functionality can be also found on some Android devices) and how to use the phone with the digital key to open and lock the car with the NFC reader.
