Sekrenyi celebration at Medziphema, Nagaland | The premiere festival of tribal Angami Nagas

The primary objective of this video is to portray the cultural and traditional attires, the speech (in local dialect on meaning & importance of Sekrenyi festival) and also the feast. As such, other activities may be highlighted to a lesser extent here but, promise, the next will be a full length video... Stay tuned!
Organised by Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) and Gaonburas of Medziphema Town, Sekrenyi festival was celebrated with fanfare as also reverence on Feb. 25, 2020, at Local Ground, Medziphema.
Thousands participated in the premiere festival of the Angami Nagas, also known as 'Phousanyi'. The most memorable event of the day came from hundreds of Medziphema Village members who marched all the way from their village, fully clad in traditional attires, to reenact the 'culturenised' days of yore!
