WRITTEN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Panini
1 package fresh mozzarella cheese
1 tomato
Fresh basil
2 sourdough loaf slices
Salt
Pepper
Balsamic vinaigrette (optional)
Olive oil

Nectarwine (Orange Sangria)
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup Grand Marnier (or triple sec)
2 cups white wine (I used Riesling)
1 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice
1 thin orange slice for garnish
Ice

DIRECTIONS

Panini
Slice mozzarella cheese and tomatos into thick 1/2 inch slices
Brush one side of a sourdough slice with olive oil
Flip and build the sandwich: mozzarella cheese, basil, tomato and repeat
Season with salt and pepper
Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette if using
Cover sandwich with other sourdough slice
Preheat a pan that is large enough to fit whole sandwich on medium heat
When pan is preheated, place sandwich down with the olive oil brushed side touching the pan
Put plate over sandwich and press down for 2 minutes
Brush the top slice with olive oil then flip the sandwich
Put plate over sandwich and press down for 2 minutes

Nectarwine
In bowl or pitcher, combine orange juice, Grand Marnier, white wine, and sugar. Whisk until sugar is fully dissolved
Put in fridge for at least 2 hours to chill and allow flavors to combine
When time to serve, take a long stem cocktail glass and add ice then pour sangria in
Garnish with thin orange slice
