Appalachian Trail Hiker Family life. My minimalist mindset was born, the trees became my home, Snickers became normal for breakfast, strangers became friends, I realized peeing in the woods wasn’t so bad, and rain became a certainty.
Our family of 7, ranging from 10 years old to 55 years old, decided to Thru-hike the 2,189 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Let us tell you about our Hiker Life, the reasons why we packed up to live in the woods for 6 months, and tips and tricks we did to get us to the end of the trail. This adventure from Georgia, through 14 states, up to Maine left us with amazing memories.
