Why Europe is facing Autumn Floods and Early Snowfall?

Описание к видео Why Europe is facing Autumn Floods and Early Snowfall?

In recent days, Europe has been grappling with extreme weather conditions that have brought record-breaking snowfall and devastating floods across the continent. As September continues, Austria and neighboring countries are experiencing weather patterns that have been described by experts as ‘unprecedented’.
Typically, snowfalls at high altitudes in September are not unusual, but the current situation is exceptional. Snow is now falling as low as 700 meters in Austria, with up to 2 meters of snow at higher elevations by the end of Monday. According to the Austrian storm warning center UWZ, some areas might surpass their previous September snowfall records within just a few days.

However, the severe weather isn't limited to snow. Storm Boris has unleashed a torrent of rain across central and eastern Europe, causing severe flooding and high winds. This storm has already claimed the lives of eight people, including a drowning victim in Poland, flood-related fatalities in Romania, and an Austrian fireman who died while responding to the crisis. Thousands have been evacuated, and rivers across the continent have burst their banks.
