Group rallying for downtown Santa Rosa's Greenway begins work on new mosaic

A group of hearty volunteers have created Friends of the Prince Memorial Greenway in an effort to organize efforts to clean, support and generate excitement for the park in central Santa Rosa they call the city's hidden gem. Their latest effort resulted in a massive painting project on June 18, led by a group of students from ArtStart and Chop's Teen Club. The Friends of the PMG are hoping to get an official affiliation with the city, something like the partnership that exists with the Friends of the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery. Volunteer work parties, followed by tours, happen at the Greenway the first Saturday of each month.
