We continue onward to the Mere of Dead Men, the Merdelain, in search of the swamp ruins we visited previously. This time, we're going into the ruins we couldn't enter before, and this time the doors are wide open. Once inside, we find a shadow reaver who destroys the statue of purification, and then he reveals someone else received its blessing before he got there. Intent on thinking he can end the whole affair by defeating us, he finds he is sorely mistaken, although he does regenerate later. Zhjaeve informs us that the next path to go on is to find out how to remake the Githyanki Silver Sword, and the only way to find out is from the knowledge in Ammon Jerro's haven. Once back in Crossroad Keep, we find out Aldanon has been busy and inadvertently discovered the location of the haven.
