Our wedding film love story

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
Choosing the venue was very easy! Not only had my Dad been researching before I was even engaged (!!), but Hedsor was an obvious choice as it is literally on top of the hill where Katie's parents live.
Hedsor House is absolutely stunning and exactly the type of location I had dreamed of getting married in, but it is also extremely convenient, with the friendly feel of being a 'local' wedding. Getting married at the adjoining St Nicholas Church was also a no-brainer. It is part of one of our frequent dog-walking routes, and the views are absolutely stunning.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Choosing the food! Thankfully, Mike had left me to do most of the choosing for most of the elements of the wedding, meaning there was minimal disagreement, however we are both big into food, and this was an important element of the day for us both! Part of the problem is we were completely spoiled for choice with our caterers, Rhubarb, and at our tasting, every single dish was absolutely delicious. I am so glad we booked our tasting in early because it actually took as a few months to finally decide on what we were going to eat!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
My advice would be that nothing can be prepared too early!! I have to admit I have been a far too chilled out bride, thinking I had plenty of time. It wasn't until about 3 months before the wedding that I had a moment of realisation... I had so much to do!!! Communication early on between the two of you is so important - making sure you are both on the same page in terms of things you want/don't want. It makes decisions so much easier! I'd also say a helpful groom makes a happy bride... I wish Mike had taken note of this!
