Описание к видео Expedition Red Top Lookout. Digging for huge agates, geodes and more.

Red Top Lookout is one of my favorite places to rockhound in Washington state. Join me as I dig for agates, geodes, jasper and more at this popular site. Collecting rocks makes me happy and Red Top never disappoints. I hope the tips and information here help you in your rockhounding endevors.

Directions: {Google will only get you part way there}
From I-90 take exit 85 for WA-970
17 miles to a left on FS 9738
2.6 miles to a slight left on FS-9702
Stay on this road until you see a sign for Red Top Lookout. There will be a road that branches off to the left, DO NOT take this road.
You will see another sign indicating Red Top Trail parking on the right. Follow this road.

Equipment:
I use a short handed shove and a small rock hammer. You will need to dig in semi-hard dirt. I use the pick end of the hammer to help remove rocks. A small wire brush and a spray bottle of water are useful to help clean the rocks so you can see what they are. Big spray and sun screen if you desire.

This place is kid friendly as it is in a relatively flat area. The walk in is along a rather wide and developed trail but it does go along a steep incline at places.
