BMW E90 3 Series Sport Steering Wheel Upgrade

In this video I show you how to retrofit paddle shifters on an E90 steering wheel. I specifically retrofit LCI paddles from a 2011 335i to an X1 steering wheel with the updated steering wheel trim and bolsters at the ten and two position.

I did this to get an up to date look and also to have paddle shifters on a steering wheel with bolsters at the 10 and 2 position. BMW never offered it this way unless you purchased an M Sport steering wheel for hundreds of dollars.

This DIY involves modifying LCI paddles to work on a pre-lci car and modifying a non paddle shift steering wheel to accept the LCI paddles.

I'm happy with the look and feel of the steering wheel and how you enjoy this DIY.
