Ingredients for Afghani Halwa

For Sugar Syrup
1: 2 cups of water
2: 1 cup of sugar
3: 1/2 tsp saffron
4: 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

First add 2 cups of water in a sauce pan over medium flame then add 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 tsp saffron & 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder whisk it till sugar dissolves but shouldn’t reach to boiling stage and then off the flame and set it aside .

Ingredients for Halwa
1: 1 cup Wheat Flour ( Atta )
2: 1/2 cup oil if needed add 1/4 cup more oil
3: 1/4 cup sliced almonds
4: 3 tbsp Ghee ( clarified butter )

Preparation
In a pan add 1 cup of wheat flour over medium flame and dry roast it till fragrant then add 1/2 cup of oil gradually and keep stirring Note: The Oil should cover wheat flour fully its texture should be runny if needed add 1/4 cup more oil & roast till till it becomes brown then slower the flame and gradually add the sugar syrup about 1 & 1/2 cup of it add the sliced almonds cook it for some minutes then finally add the rest of sugar syrup cook it until all the syrup soaks and Afghani Atta Halwa is ready garnish it with almonds & serve .
