Hetzel Design is based in the capital of entertainment, just a few blocks from Hollywood. Our theatrical and cinematic sensibility, drawn from our movie experience and combined with our place-making and architectural skills, has turned Hetzel Design into a perfect creative resource for theme parks, attractions, themed resorts and RDEs (retail-dining-entertainment destinations).
A sector so diverse and fluid, its limits know no bounds. Trends may come and go but somehow expectations never dwindle. Big ideas need to suspend reality creating a true fantasy that takes the guest to another dimension of enjoyment. All this needs to be packaged in a commercially viable destination offering the right mix of attraction and complimentary uses – a true escape. Designing a theme park or an integrated gaming resort is in a lot of ways more complex than designing a nuclear power plant. Here at Hetzel we love that kind of challenge. We also find theme parks much more fun, (not to mention more sustainable) than nuclear plants:)
