Som tam (papaya salad) is a thai delicacy from the Northeast region of Thailand. As the name implies, its main ingredient is unripe papaya. Other ingredients include lime, garlic, cayenne pepper, tomatoes, and the salad sauce. Some seafoods can also be added depending on what components the eater wants. Som tam is so much loved by the thai people as well as foreigners. It can be eaten at any time of the day considering the fact that its made of veggies and serves as an appetizer.
