In this arduino tutorial I go through a way of finding out the resistor value to get an Arduino control a NPN transistor to work instead of a push button in a circuit. This enables you to take control over a lot of equipment that wasnt possible with only using Digital and Analog pins.

In the video I use the example of the MP3 player that we hooked up with relays in episode 20. But here we instead get it to use NPN transistors instead, which is a much smaller simpler and cheaper solution.
