Metallic watercolour painting for beginners - birch trees

Описание к видео Metallic watercolour painting for beginners - birch trees

When I found a gold set of metallic watercolour paints for only £1 in The Range, I could not resist a bargain. Usually I am really sniffy about cheap paints, but I thought I would give them a go - afterall, what did I have to lose? I did a full review of the coloured set here:    • Testing cheap metallic watercolours   , so in this film, I do swatches on black and white watercolour paper and then jump into a glittery painting of a birch forest. I thought it was the perfect subject to use the gold and copper hues.

This sort of subject is really simple to do. You can mask out the trunks with masking tape or masking fluid and then splash paint around till your heart is content. Then it's a case of adding in the bark markings and a few bits of detail. I think you will really enjoy it.
