This is a short CPC demo I finished in a very short time for Amstrad Expo 2010. It won the 1st place. The theme of the competition was whether one could finish a CPC demo in 2 months yet I really finished this demo in one week.

I planned well focused on speedeveloping, so the concept was first to let a C compiler (PhrozenC) assist me in the process (of course only for inits, main demo scripting and transitions, the effects and heavy stuff are written in assembly) and secondly instead of writting each effect targeted on the CPC videoram, I wrote an assembly renderer from a simple linear video mode (0-255 shades) to the CPC videoram and then all the effects were written directly there without me bothering with the perks of CPC videoram anymore. Of course the result is ugly 4*4 dithered chunks (I also have half scanlines because of speed) and quite unoptimized effects. But for the limited time I worked on it, that was a good experiment and show of what one can do.
