Pill-shaped Skateboard is best for tricks. Fish-tail Longboard is for cruising and not so much for tricks. For example:
You can go up a tiny pavement with a Pill-shaped skateboard. But with a Longboard you will have to stop, get off your board, pick it up , go up the stair or the pavement, put it down and then push to skate again... That's doesn't mean that one is better than the other. Each one has Pros and cons. Fishtail Longboard is better for Carving. Carving means leaning turns.
& Finally with Surfskates like brand name "Carverboard" You are Carving even more often than with longboard cruisers & you are pushing much less if at all. Surfskates really made the Surfers' ultimate Skateboard. It really transferred the Surf feel onto a skateboard and made it with excellence.

Before surfskates were created Longboard skateboards was the way to go for surfers.
But now Surfskate has taken over its righteous place. It really deserves a hats off for that one.

Surfskate in comparison with Downhill longboards is not about gaining time and speed but about taking it elegantly.



This Longboard I am holding in this video though is not a downhill longboard. It's called a Dancing Longboard. If you want to know more about it, Just Search for it on Youtube and you will understand what's it about.

To be honest, and obviously, it's not my favorite cup of tea.
I'm just reviewing this to let you know the differences.
Also to let you know that I have them available for anyone who wants to give it a try.
It's the best way to know what you really like or don't.
I say, Try before you buy.
