The Weapons in RWBY are surprisingly good

I'm a prior fencing instructor, military veteran, sci-fi writer, and, most recently, a tactical consultant for novels and TV. In this video, I break down a few of the iconic weapons from RWBY in the Red, White, Yellow, and Black trailers.
There definitely are some interesting ones.
As a writer, I know that there is a line between fact and fiction. Just saying "these wouldn't work in real life, next" would be a dull and short video. So a lot of this goes over if they're even good ideas in the setting, and covers some similar things in history--like scythes being used in combat.
