College Board made a big announcement on Tuesday, January 25th about the future of testing and admissions. What does that mean for current high school students getting ready for the test?

The good news is that for the majority of current high school students, this announcement doesn't affect you at all. No changes will be implemented until Fall 2023 at the earliest, so if you're a current junior or senior, there's nothing you need to prepare differently. Even if you're a current sophomore, in all likelihood the only way this would affect you is if you were trying to squeak in one final test in Spring of 2024, when the changes will be implemented on the actual SAT.

If you're a current freshman, however, these changes very much affect you and how you will prepare. The 2023 PSAT will be the first test in the U.S. to go to the new all-digital, computer-adaptive format, and then the Spring 2024 SAT will follow.
