DIY EASTER BUNNY SPRING WALL DECOR | AFFORDABLE DIY WALL DECORS

I just made this DIY EASTER BUNNY SPRING WALL DECOR from reused/recycled materials...

Firstly, I did have my own wooden plank with Jute Rope hanger, but it is for wedding set ups, so I ended up erasing it with paint thinner. Here, as you can see, I am freehandedly sketching a bunny since it's now the Easter season.
I amerasing it to lighten the sketch and remove harsh edges since we will be painting it later on in the video.
Smudging it inwards will help us have full coverage of the paint with just one coating as to there will not be lines showing through.
Painting it with a Pastel blue that I mixed. White plus blue, and a little bit of brown to mute the vibrancy a little bit.
going back with a smaller, finer brush will give it the crisp edges that we want and by using a blow drier, with highest setting, to fasten up.
Since our Theme for this Easter is Rustic Farmhouse, I went back with a steel brush and sandpaper to make it distressed, after I made sure that it's completely dry.
Brushing it lightly is safer as to doing it hard. Adding more scratches is easier than reducing, since light
Overlapping the ropes together, will make it easier to cut in the middle and stick nice and snug. After that, make sure to go ahead and trim the hanging rope strands that fringed while doing this project.
For top coat, i am using Rust-Oleum Clear and went ahead and apply a thin layer. I only have a glossy coat on hand at the moment, but since this project is Rustic, any gloss will hinder that aged finish.
So applying a thin coat won't give off that much shine and gloss. Then again, I used a blow dry to speed up the drying process.
Lastly, I used a pompom that fell off from our throw blanket as a bunny tail. 😆 Resourceful, right? The other items that you see here are the ones i made last night. I didn't have any footage because i was doing them outdoors, so lighting is bad. But anyways, that will be it for this video! I hope you enjoyed! Thank you so much!
