Once upon a time, Shigeru Miyamoto said what he really wanted in a Star Fox game was epic dogfights.
I think they might just have succeeded.

(Gameplay wise, I took some licenses for drama. I didn't HAVE to go head-to-head all the time, but I can't resist those slow-motion passes. Wolf even repeats Solo-Wing Pixy's lines of "Come on!" from the finale of Ace Combat Zero).
