CODP GOLDEN JUBILEE HOUSING PROJECT documentary Part-2

ODP a non-profit social service organ of the Diocese of Mangalore has been
spending lakhs of rupees on charity over the past 50 years. To mark the Golden
Jubilee of its existence (1974-2024) this yearit has already constructed 75 new
houses and repaired 55 houses. The Diocese of
Mangalore conducts this charitable service through donations of various
donors especially Mr Michael Dsouza as the substantial donor.
The aim is to construct 100 houses for the poor families of the Diocese who are
socio economically backward. The parish team plans a house of 700- 800
square feet. The cost is fixed at 8 lakhs. The Diocese under CODP grants 50% of
the cost in 4 instalments. The donations campaign is launched in order to cover
the cost of expenses for the remaining houses for the Poor.
