Yevgeny Prigozhin a businessman with ‘difficult fate’, says Vladimir Putin

The Russian president has confirmed the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, calling the head of the Wagner mercenary group a 'talented businessman' with 'a difficult fate'.

In a meeting at the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin addressed the crash of Prigozhin’s business jet for the first time and said Prigozhin had returned to Russia from Africa on Wednesday and had met 'some officials'.
